This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Tap me: Freedom for the arrows ("the App", "the Game", "we", "us", "our") handles information about you. By downloading or using the App you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is published by Nadzeya Yashchuk ("the Developer"). Contact: [email protected].
1. Summary (plain-language)
- We do not require an account, and we do not ask you for your name, email, or any other directly identifying information.
- Your game progress, settings, and unlocked collection are stored only on your device. We cannot see them.
- The App shows ads through Google AdMob. To do this, Google may collect device and usage information, including advertising identifiers.
- On Apple devices, the App asks for your permission before any tracking that uses the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA). You can decline, and the Game still works fully.
- Purchases (the optional "Remove Ads" subscriptions) are processed by Apple. We never receive or store your payment details.
2. Who is responsible for your data
The Developer is the controller for the limited processing described in this policy. Where the App displays ads, Google LLC (AdMob) acts as an independent controller/processor for the advertising data it collects, under its own privacy policy.
3. Information we and our partners process
3.1 Information stored only on your device
The following is saved locally on your device (using Apple's UserDefaults) and is not transmitted to us:
- Level progress and completed levels;
- Stars earned and achievements/collection items unlocked;
- App settings (e.g. sound on/off);
- Local purchase/entitlement state ("ads removed").
This data is removed when you delete the App.
3.2 Information processed by Google AdMob (advertising)
To serve and measure ads, Google AdMob may collect and process, automatically:
- Device advertising identifiers (Apple IDFA, only with your ATT consent — see Section 4 — and Google's own non-resettable/limited identifiers);
- IP address and coarse, IP-derived location;
- Device information (model, operating system version, language, screen, network type);
- Ad interaction data (ads shown, viewed, clicked, completed rewarded ads);
- App identifiers and event timestamps.
Google uses this information to deliver ads (personalized where permitted, or non-personalized otherwise), to limit how often you see an ad, to measure performance, and to detect fraud and abuse. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
3.3 Information processed by Apple (purchases)
The optional auto-renewable subscriptions are sold and processed through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the transaction and your payment information; we receive only an anonymous confirmation that an entitlement is active. Apple's processing is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
3.4 What we do not do
- We do not use third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or social-media SDKs.
- We do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise GPS location.
- We do not sell your personal information for money.
4. App Tracking Transparency (Apple devices)
Before any tracking that relies on the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA), the App presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt and asks for your permission.
- If you allow tracking, AdMob may use the IDFA to show you more relevant (personalized) ads.
- If you decline, the App and Google serve only non-personalized or contextual ads, and the IDFA is not used for cross-app tracking.
You can change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device. Your choice does not affect your ability to play.
5. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK – GDPR)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we and our partners rely on:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for personalized advertising and any use of the IDFA; you give this through the ATT prompt and any in-app consent request, and may withdraw it at any time;
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for non-personalized ads, frequency capping, and fraud prevention, balanced against your rights;
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to deliver subscriptions you buy and to provide the App's core functionality.
6. How information is used
Information is used to:
- run the Game and remember your progress and settings on your device;
- display and measure advertising, and cap how often ads appear;
- provide and validate the optional "Remove Ads" subscriptions;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and technical errors;
- comply with legal obligations.
7. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with:
- Google (AdMob) — for advertising, as described above;
- Apple — for purchases and subscription management;
- Authorities or third parties where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
8. Data retention
- On-device data persists until you delete the App or clear it within the App.
- Google and Apple retain the data they collect according to their own policies and retention schedules, over which we have no control.
9. Children's privacy
The App is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country, e.g. 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. The App is not submitted to Apple's "Kids" category. Because the App contains third-party advertising, it is not intended for young children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Your rights
EEA / UK (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we hold no account or contact data ourselves, many requests about advertising data should be directed to Google; we will assist where we can.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of personalized advertising, decline the ATT prompt or disable tracking in your device settings.
Exercising your rights
Contact [email protected]. We may need to direct certain requests to Google or Apple, who control the relevant data.
11. International transfers
Google and Apple may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those transfers are governed by the safeguards described in the Google and Apple privacy policies (such as Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable).
12. Security
We rely on the security provided by Apple's platform and by Google and Apple as our service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the latest version, and material changes will be reflected in the App or at the policy URL. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
